The Eadui Psalter, aka the Arundel Psalter (BL Arundel 155)

David kills Goliath, f. 93r.

Colloquial name(s): the Eadui Psalter, the Arundel Psalter
Official name(s): British Library, Arundel 155

Date: between 1012 and 1023 (source)
Origin: Benedictine cathedral priory of Christ Church, Canterbury, England (source)

This manuscript was written at the Benedictine cathedral priory of Christ Church, Canterbury by the monk Eadui Basan after 1011 and probably before 1023 (source). The terminus ante quem is determined by the fact that the calendar within this manuscript includes the martyrdom of archbishop Aelfheah (d. April 1012) but not his translation in 1023 (source).

The manuscript contains two sections - a psalter and prayers, consisting of ff. 2-135, and canticles, litany and collects plus the hymnal and Office of the Dead, which consist of ff. 135-170v (source). It is decorated with one miniature in ink, two figures drawn in ink, large foliate initials and full foliate borders (source).

Basic descriptions of the illustrations are provided by the British Library with the facsimile.
