This manuscript contains Pulius Terentius Afer's Comediae (in the following order: Andria, Eunuchus, Heautontimoroumenos, Adelphoe, Hecyra and Phormio) and Laurentius of Primo Fato's Commentum (source). It was offered to Jean de Berry in January 1408 by his treasurer Martin Gouge de Charpaignes, future bishop of Chartres and then-bishop of Clermont (source). It is listed in the inventory established between 1413 and 1416 by Robinet d'Étampes, guard of jewels for the duke (source).
The illustration in this manuscript was carried out by two distinct illuminators - the Master of Flavius Josephus (named after BNF Fr. 247) and the Master of Orosius (who decorated BNF Fr. 301) (source).
