This manuscript consists of a copy of Giovanni Boccaccio's De Claris Mulieribus (Book of Noble and Renowned Women), translated into French (source). Unlike BNF Fr. 12420, it lacks the colophon dating the translation to 12th September 1401 (source). It was given to Duke Jean de Berry in February 1404 by his squire and valet Jean de La Barre and appears in his inventory of manuscripts, drafted in 1413 (source).
Basic descriptions of the illustrations are provided by the BNF on its Mandragore website (just click on 'Légendes' instead of 'Images'). Use the list of famous women in the Wikipedia article for De Claris Mulieribus to augment this.
