It is one of only three copies that contains the visit of the Emperor Charles IV to the King of France, Charles V (the other copies are BNF Fr. 2812 and BNF Fr. 6465 - Charles V's personal copy and a copy probably made for Charles VII, respectively) (source).
This manuscript was illustrated by the Virgil master and his atelier (source). It contains 266 planned one- or two-column miniatures, although some are drawn and unpainted and others have not been drawn in at all.
Basic descriptions of the illustrations are provided by the British Library with the facsimile.
