This manuscript consists of a copy of Schachzabelbuch by Konrad von Ammenhausen, a Middle High German verse translation of Jacobus de Cessolis' Liber de moribus hominum et officiis nobilum ac popularium super ludo saccharum ('Book of the customs of men and the duties of nobles, or the Book of Chess') which was completed in 1337 (source). It includes numerous pen-and-ink drawings of the allegorical tales within.
