This manuscript was made for King Charles V of France (d. 1380) (source). It was copied by Raoulet d'Orleans and illuminated by the Master of the Coronation of Charles VI of the Grande Chroniques de France (source). It contains 10 two-coloumn miniatures (source). These are executed in grisaille, a technique used in French manuscripts from the first half of the 14th C whereby the artwork is purposely rendered in shades of grey.
