This manuscript contains an incomplete version of Les Voeux du Paon (ff. 1r-102v), written by Jacques de Longuyon prior to 1312, and an incomplete version of Le restor du paon (ff. 102v-141v), written by Jean Brisebare of Douai before 1338 (source). The manuscript is missing three quires of eight leaves each at the beginning, folios between ff. 88 and 89 and between ff. 92 and 93 plus the ending (source).

This manuscript contains 22 miniatures plus numerous illuminated initials with marginal extenders plus marginal figures done as pen drawings with colour washes. These images include some very well-known ones, such as the poor woman carrying a child in a cradle on f. 10r.
